My Phantom 2 is fairly loud, and to the best of memory, it usually scares off most birds long before it gets close enough to get any close up photos. Most birds will not get near it in flight, however, I have seen a couple of videos on you tube of hawks and eagles actually attacking a Phantom. I think this drone is a great tool for landscape photography, and other types of video productions. I highly recommend the Phantom 2 if you are interested in those types of things. Also, it’s just great fun to fly.
