Ok, it’s official now, I’ve purchased my domain name. So, more updates will be forthcoming. Hopefully said updates will make this blog site more attractive and easier to navigate. But that remains to be seen. I will start working on that right away, and maybe before this weekend is over I’ll have it at a reasonable starting point. Hey, I am more than willing to accept any help anyone out there has to offer. Ok, have to throw in photo, after all that’s mainly why I’m here. Have a great weekend!

Long Weekend……..at Work

Three 12’s are tough, getting up at 3am three days in a row ain’t no fun! But hey, gotta pay for those toys. Up side, next weekend I’m off! Plus, this weekend I get to take pictures of the sunrise. I was able to get a couple of shots this morning, I’ll post one later. It can be challenging to get a good photo of the sunrise sometime because there are trees Everywhere here. But I continue to maneuver around until I find a suitable spot, and snap away.

Oops!

It appears that I have clicked something (or unchecked) that caused my photo gallery to quit posting, the worse part is that up to now I have been unable to fix the problem. So, please bare with me and I’ll figure it out as soon as possible. Thanks.

Another New Face

Still working on this blog, so please bare with me. This will be the permanent theme, but I will continue to customize the page(s) until I am satisfied with the look. Anyone with suggestions are welcome to offer them. Thanks.

Ice

Ice Trees
These trees were heavily covered with ice from the recent ice storm. Every tree in the area was the same. Many trees had limbs break off causing power outages, and property damage. unfortunately I was not spared.

It’s Here!

My Nikon D7100 just arrived! Can’t wait for the battery to charge so I can start shooting away! This camera is slightly larger than my old D40x, but is seems to be close in weight, just a tad bit heavier. The battery grip should be in soon, then it will weigh somewhat more, but heavy isn’t a problem with me. Now, I have to get to studying the manual and get up to speed on the cameras functionality. I’ll be posting some new photos soon!

Wednesday

Actually, it’s Thursday, 1:05am. Don’t usually stay up this late, but I’ve been studying the users guide for the Nikon D7100. Lots of features, and lots to learn. Watching some tv too. I reinstalled Capture Nx 2 today on my desktop, haven’t used it since I rebuilt this computer. I have a lot of photos that need some attention, but I’ll get around to that soon enough. Ok, that’s all for tonight.

Tracie Louise photography

It certainly appears that we both have the same tastes in camera equipment. My lenses are all Nikon 18-55, 55-200 VR, 70-300 AF, and a 35-105 AF which is a carry over from my Nikon film camera. It’s a heavy lens but still does great portrait and close ups. Thanks again for taking a chance on me on Facebook. I hope to have time this week to update my website and post some new photos. You may be the only person to visit that site besides me in who knows how long. I agree with you on the rainy day thing. I love going out after a rain and taking photos of anything that has water dripping from it.
